How to get the Bochs Emulator on Your iDevice

• bochs.deb file, Google search it or use the one I used: http://www.4shared.com/file/221680499/577f87b2/bochs.html (this is my file I uploaded) (no bad stuff, since I used it in the first place)
• Jailbroken iDevice with CYDIA
• Computer with Internet access
• WinSCP (allows you to access all files in your iDevice, to download go to http://winscp.net/eng/download.php ) (Installation package, you need WiFi and the IP address your iDevice is using, this info can be found in your jailbroken iDevice's SpringBoard Settings screen)) This program, free, is required to make the necessary permission changes to the Win98SE folder.
• OpenSSH (Cydia system mod, necessary for WinSCP to work)
• MobileTerminal (also a Cydia app, like Command Prompt, or for those of us who remember running Windows 95 and 98 on our computers, MS-DOS Prompt :D)

• Actually there is a way to do this without wireless, but it's required to have WinSCP too. The program is called "iFunBox", for your computer. You need to go to Cydia and search "afc" and look for the first entry, "afc2add" or like. Install it. This allows iFunBox to see that your iDevice is jailbroken, so it can access all files. QUICKER FILE TRANSFER WITH THIS METHOD.
• You may have seen YouTube videos depicting a "Windoze" app on Cydia. It's an old April Fools joke, it pretends to load and shows a BSOD.

1. Open WinSCP on your computer and activate OpenSSH on your iDevice. Leave the port # alone. Host Name: Your iDevice's IP Address, Username: "root", Password: "alpine" (no spaces or quotations). This should allow you to look inside (aka HACK) your iDevice. You are in the root folder. Pres the Up button or use the "..." folder to go up until you can't go up any further. Then go to the "tmp" folder.
2. Click and drag the bochs.deb file into the tmp folder in your iDevice. Just leave it there with all the folders and files living there.
3. Go into MobileTerminal and type in the following:
   1. type, "login" (then hit return)
   2. type the username, "root" (return)
   3. type the password, "alpine" (return) (note the password you're typing in will be invisible on this stage only)
   4. type, "dpkg -i /tmp/bochs.deb" (return)
   5. type, "killall SpringBoard" (return)
   6. Your iDevice will respring and...Voila! Presto!The Bochs app on your home screen!
4. Not done yet if you want Windows 98. You need to use WinSCP to go to:
   1. /PRIVATE/VAR/MOBILE/LIBRARY/BOCHS
   2. Click and drag the downloaded "Win98SE" folder into the folder above, so now you should have "Win311" "Win95" and "Win98SE".
   3. IT DOESN'T WORK UNTIL YOU MAKE THE FOLLOWING ADJUSTMENTS:
      1. Go to the Win98SE folder. Right-click and select "Properties".
      2. Using the enclosed JPEG as reference, make the changes (set permissions to 0755, etc) to match the JPEG.
      3. On your iDevice, go to the home screen, then start Bochs. It should start now.
